Cookie Notice
This Cookie Notice explains how Quadra Audio (“Quadra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the quadraaudio.com website and any other website that we own or control and which posts or links to this Cookie Notice (collectively, the “Sites”).
It covers browser cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar technologies used with our Sites. Our Mac desktop apps (MATRIX, MEAS, WAYS) may store license and preference data on your device under macOS; those practices are described in the Privacy Policy and product Documentation. We do not operate a mobile app covered by this Notice.
This Notice forms part of our relationship with you together with the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use & End User License Agreement, and Refund Policy.
Cookie and similar technology categories
On the Sites, we use cookies and other tracking technologies in the categories described below.
| Type | Description | Who serves them | How to control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Necessary to allow the technical operation of our services (for example security, load balancing via our CDN, cart/checkout state, Quadra ID session materials, Terms-acceptance records, and cookie-preference storage). Without these, sign-in, store, and activation flows may not work. | Quadra (first-party); Cloudflare (hosting/CDN — https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/); Supabase Auth (session materials in browser storage after Google sign-in — https://supabase.com/privacy); Stripe (checkout session when you pay — https://stripe.com/privacy). | Always on. Strictly necessary cookies and equivalent storage do not require consent. You can clear browser storage, but Account, bag, and activation features may break until you sign in again. |
| Functionality / performance | Enhance the performance and functionality of our services (for example remembering UI choices and draft library import state while you work in the browser). | Quadra (first-party browser storage). | Tied to essential Site operation today. Clear site data in your browser to reset. |
| Analytics | Help us understand how our services are performing and being used. These cookies may work with web beacons included in emails we send to track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. Quadra does not currently deploy third-party analytics cookies on the Sites. If we enable analytics later, we will update this Notice and request consent where required before setting non-essential analytics cookies. | None active on the Sites today. | Use the cookie banner or Cookie Preferences to accept or reject when analytics is offered. You can also block cookies in your browser. |
| Advertising | Used by advertising companies to collect information about how you use our Sites and other websites over time, to show ads they believe will be relevant, and to measure ad performance. Quadra does not use advertising cookies on the Sites. | None. | Not applicable while unused. |
| Social | May allow you to log into the Sites through a social media account or share content through third-party social media providers. These cookies may also be used for advertising purposes. We use Google only as an identity provider for Quadra ID; we do not embed social sharing or advertising pixels from other networks on the Sites. | Google (OAuth / account profile data during sign-in — https://policies.google.com/privacy). | Do not sign in with Google if you do not want that flow. Manage connected apps in your Google account settings. |
2. Other technologies
In addition to cookies, our Sites may use other technologies to collect information automatically.
Browser web storage. We may use browser web storage (including via HTML5), also known as locally stored objects (“LSOs”), for similar purposes as cookies. Browser web storage enables the storage of a larger amount of data than cookies. Your web browser may provide functionality to clear your browser web storage. Our static Sites store Quadra ID session materials, cart contents, Terms-acceptance version timestamps, cookie preferences, and short-lived library import drafts in browser storage rather than traditional cookies. These serve the same operational role as essential cookies.
Flash technology. We do not use Flash cookies (Flash Local Shared Objects) on the Sites.
Web beacons. We may use web beacons (also known as pixel tags and clear GIFs) on our Sites and in HTML-formatted emails to track actions of users on our Sites and interactions with our emails. We do not currently embed marketing or session-replay pixels on the Sites. Transactional emails from providers we use may include standard delivery pixels under those providers’ policies.
Mobile application SDKs. We do not use third-party mobile SDKs on the Sites. Our Mac apps are native desktop software, not mobile apps distributed through this website’s cookie stack.
Session-replay technologies. We do not use session-replay products (such as FullStory) on the Sites.
3. Your choices
Cookie Preference controls. You can change cookie settings when you visit our Sites via our Cookie Banner that is displayed when you first visit, or at any time by choosing Cookie Preferences in the site footer. Our Cookie Banner and preferences panel allow you to accept, refuse, or manage settings for non-essential categories:
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent.
When we deploy other cookies, you may accept or reject all cookies, or allow only the categories you prefer, by clicking the appropriate button (for example “Accept all”, “Essential only”, or “Manage” / “Save preferences”).
Blocking cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. If you set your browser to disable cookies, the Sites may not work properly. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org. If you do not accept our cookies, you may experience some inconvenience — for example, we may not be able to recognize your computer or mobile device and you may need to log in every time you visit our Sites.
Blocking images / clear GIFs. Most browsers and devices allow you to configure your device to prevent images from loading. Follow the instructions in your browser or device settings.
Third-party and industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through some third parties listed in the chart above by using corresponding third-party opt-out tools when those partners are active. You may also opt out of receiving interest-based advertising on websites through members of the Network Advertising Initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info). Please note that we also may work with companies that offer their own opt-out mechanisms and may not participate in the opt-out mechanisms linked above. Those tools do not currently apply because we do not run advertising cookies.
Even if you opt out of targeted advertisements, you will still see advertisements online elsewhere, but they may not be relevant to you. You will need to apply opt-out settings on each device and browser from which you wish to limit interest-based advertising.
Google account. To limit what Google shares when you create a Quadra ID, review Google’s account and privacy settings before signing in.
4. How this relates to privacy
For more information about how we collect, use, and share your information — including licensing telemetry and hardware identifiers in our Mac apps — see our Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy.
5. Changes
Information about the cookies we use may be updated from time to time, so please check back on a regular basis for any changes. The version identifier and effective date at the top of this page will change when we update this Notice. Material changes will be highlighted on the Sites or via Account email where appropriate.
6. Questions
If you have any questions about this Cookie Notice, please contact us by email at [email protected] (subject line: “Cookies”).
